Putting Students First
Sara is running for RCSD Board of Education, Area 4, with three primary goals. Each one starts with the same idea: Put Students First.
Priority 1 — School Safety, Inside and Out
Keep campuses secure by knowing who's on school grounds, teaching respect and keeping kids engaged, especially through the middle school years. That includes e-bike safety around schools to protect students and the crossing guards who look out for them. RCSD already has strong safety initiatives, from traffic and parking-lot guidelines to mental health resources. Sara will build on that foundation so every child feels safe and ready to learn, each and every day.
Priority 2 — Academic Excellence
Protect the strong schools that bring families to Roseville and keep RCSD's test scores the highest in Placer County. In 2025, RCSD ranked first among similar California districts in English language arts, math, science, English learner progress and suspension rate. Sara will protect what's working — and catch struggling students earlier, in first and second grade, so no child falls behind.
Priority 3 — Parent, Teacher and Student Partnership
Strong schools are a team effort. Rebuild the home-and-school connection so parents reinforce learning at home and work hand in hand with teachers. Research shows that schools with strong family partnerships see improved academic achievement and greater college and career readiness. When teachers and parents work together, students succeed.
