Meet Sara Bye
Sara Bye is an active member of the Roseville City School District community, dedicated to building an exceptional education environment for children. Over the past two and a half years, she has served as a substitute teacher in RCSD, working across many elementary campuses. But her involvement doesn't stop there. She revived the enrichment program as President of the Parent Teacher Club at Diamond Creek Elementary, bringing hands-on activities, guest speakers and animals to give kids learning experiences beyond the classroom.
Sara understands the needs of both parents and teachers through her two years as Parent Teacher Club president at Diamond Creek Elementary, a role she now continues at Cooley Middle School. She is ready to facilitate the conversation between parents and teachers — rebuilding the home-and-school connection so students get the learning support they need both at home and in school.
A Roseville resident since 2021, Sara has been hands-on in this community for years, from volunteering with Roseville Theatre Arts Academy, to coaching youth flag football for nine seasons. As a mom of two school-age sons whose grades span the elementary and high school districts, she has a first-hand stake in the full RCSD journey.
Sara is running for RCSD Board of Education with three primary goals: keep campuses safe, protect the academic results that make RCSD the best in Placer County, and build a strong parent-teacher-student partnership.
Sara received her BS in Human Nutrition from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
